1. Introduce yourself using 3 adjectives and tell us why you chose them.

Dedicated, ambitious and empathetic. I’ve worked hard to accomplish my goals during high school, and I’m excited to move on to college this fall. I’m also dedicated and empathetic toward the students I tutor weekly – I enjoy seeing their accomplishments and milestones.

2. What's one thing on your bucket list that you're determined to achieve before graduating high school?

I would like to have a fun beach trip with my friends. Over the last four years, I’ve made some great memories with friends at the beach, and I would like to have one last opportunity before graduating to create a beach memory.

3. If you could time travel back in time for a day, where would you go and what would you do?

I would go to the Regency Era, which is when one of my favorite TV shows, Bridgerton, takes place. I’d love to attend a fancy ball and experience what it felt like to be royalty back then.

4. If your life was a movie, what would it be about and why does that resonate with you?

It would be about me and my family. My family is a large part of my life, and I would want the movie to share how important they are in everything I do.

5. What are your aspirations and goals for the future?

My goal is to obtain my bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance, and ultimately to become a forensic accountant. I look forward to connecting with many new professionals and expanding the knowledge required to carry out my dream successfully.

6. Do you suggest that fellow students consider applying for ACE? What aspect of being involved in the camp did you enjoy the most?

I highly recommend that fellow students consider applying for ACE. I had an amazing time and learned so much during the program. My favorite part was the welcoming and kind members I met. I talk to a few of my peers from ACE regularly, and I am so glad I got the opportunity to spend a week meeting career professionals and learning hands-on what it would be like to work in the profession of accounting.

🤗👙😋

  • 🤗 Everyone who first meets me tells me that I’m a happy and energetic person, and I always have a smile on my face!
  • 👙 I love swimming, going to the beach and hot, sunny days.
  • 😋 I love to eat! I snack on anything I can, anytime and anywhere. I also love food!

What's one thing on your bucket list that you're determined to achieve before graduating high school?

Facing my fear of heights and going on a rollercoaster!

If you could time travel to any era in history for a day, where and when would you go and what would you do?

I would choose Ancient Egypt, particularly the early days. I'm fascinated by the culture of that time, which was vastly different from both modern society and the cultures of the early 1900s. Witnessing the construction of the pyramids firsthand would be incredible, and perhaps even lending a hand in their building would fulfill a lifelong curiosity of mine.

If your life had a movie/book what would it be and why does it resonate with you?

It would be The Giver because it was one of the first books that deeply impacted me. The concept of living in a dystopian world has always haunted me, and the fear of society devolving into such a state, especially with the rapid advancements in technology right now, is something I often contemplate. Like the characters, I try to navigate through the complexities of life and maintain a sense of individuality and humanity amidst societal pressures, so it already feels like we’re living in it!

What are your aspirations and goals for the future?

In the future, I hope to feel confident and happy with my choice of school for college as well as my career. I dream of traveling around the world and living a stress-free and comfortable life surrounded by friends and family. I hope to become successful enough to support myself and my family and make them proud. Ultimately, I want to find fulfillment in both personal and professional aspects of my life.

What would you say to a fellow student who is considering applying for ACE?

I highly recommend applying for ACE, especially if you're considering a major or career in accounting. Before participating, accounting was a possibility, but I wasn't entirely sure about my path. However, the week-long program with MassCPAs was incredibly informative and inspiring, solidifying my decision to pursue accounting. My favorite part was getting to meet and talk to professionals from different accounting firms, as well as the accounting professors. We discussed not only accounting but also their personal lives and career paths. I also made many new friends! We got to explore Fenway Park, shop and eat lots of delicious food! ACE was both fun and incredibly informative and I would definitely recommend applying.

☕️ 🌊 👭

I chose these emojis because I love coffee, I’m the happiest by the beach soaking in the sun and I’m not myself without my friends and family by my side through everything.

What's one item on your bucket list that you're determined to achieve before graduating high school?

There are so many things I can’t wait to do before graduation. From getting ready for prom to graduation rehearsals with friends, the list goes on! All I can really say is that I hope to maintain connections with my friends and good grades while soaking in every last bit of high school. Also finally nailing down my college choice!

If you could time travel to any era in history for a day, where and when would you go and what would you do there?

I would travel to the future. Thinking about the future always keeps me on my toes and helps me stay motivated. I would love to have the ability to see where everyone that is in my life right now will be in the future.

If your life had a theme song, what would it be and why does it resonate with you?

I would choose ‘Everybody Wants to Rule The World’ by Tears for Fears. There is no way you can be in a bad mood when you hear this song. When I feel like I’m in a big mess and I hear this song, it makes me feel like my problems have vanished. Overall, it’s a very uplifting song and listening to it makes me feel like I’m being productive.

What are your aspirations and goals for the future?

To make sure I stay on the correct path. I know if I didn’t choose to attend college, I would have no idea what I would do in the future. I would love to get a degree in accounting and use that to obtain a steady career. I also want to use the future to learn from mistakes I have made in the past and become a better, hardworking individual.

Do you suggest that fellow students consider applying for ACE? What aspect of being involved in the camp did you enjoy the most?

I absolutely loved ACE! It was an amazing, different routine from what an ordinary week in my life would look like. I learned so much and met wonderful people. I loved visiting Suffolk University’s campus and accounting firms to explore careers. It is a great learning experience for fellow students who want to explore accounting just like I did and get a glimpse into the business world.
